Couples &
Engagement
Photography
Couples photography offers a different approach to a wedding day. Without the structure of a wedding day timeline, the focus becomes quieter and more intentional. These sessions allow space to explore cities and spaces, playing with the environment and light in a way that feels relaxed and natural whilst remaining artistic and experimental.

Captured
We are Sam and Helen, the husband and wife team behind Bloomfield Photo. Based in Southern Spain, we photograph couples across Spain and throughout Europe, often working with international clients who are visiting the region as well as our couples planning destination weddings.
Our couples' sessions draw on the same editorial approach that defines our wedding work. Rather than heavily directing every moment, we create a calm environment where interaction unfolds naturally. Small adjustments to light, composition and movement allow the images to feel considered without becoming staged.
Couples Photography Locations in Spain
We regularly photograph couples across Spain, including Marbella, Barcelona, Seville, Mallorca, Madrid and the Costa del Sol.
Each location brings a different atmosphere. Marbella offers coastal light and Mediterranean architecture, while Barcelona combines historic streets with contemporary design. In Seville, the city and its courtyards provide an entirely different sense of place.
For couples travelling to Spain, these sessions often become a small part of the overall experience of the trip.

A Personal Approach
Bloomfield Photo was founded by Sam and Helen as a collaborative creative studio focused on design-led destination wedding photography. Alongside photographing weddings across Spain and Europe, we work from a purpose-built studio where we edit and refine our work with care and consistency.
Sam grew up in a family business operating between London and India, which created an early connection with Asian culture and international travel. That background continues to shape how we approach the multicultural weddings and international couples we photograph today.
This experience allows us to work comfortably with people from different backgrounds and cultures, creating an environment where couples feel at ease in front of the camera.
Planning a
Couples Session
Couples sessions typically last between one and two hours and are usually scheduled around the softer light of early morning or late afternoon.
If you are planning a destination wedding in Spain, a couples session can also be arranged before or after the wedding day itself.
If you would like to discuss a couples session in Marbella, Barcelona, Seville or elsewhere in Spain, we would be happy to hear about your plans.
-
Many of the couples we photograph are visiting Spain for the first time. Cities such as Barcelona, Seville and Madrid offer extraordinary architectural backdrops, while the Mediterranean coastline around Marbella and Mallorca provides rugged natural landscapes with light that works beautifully for portrait photography.
-
Couples sessions are often curated in the days leading up to a destination wedding, allowing time to photograph without the pace of the wedding day itself. Others take place independently, particularly for engagements, anniversaries or simply to document time spent travelling together.
-
We guide gently when structure improves the image and step back when moments develop naturally. The result is photography that feels relaxed, contemporary and true to the connection between two people.
